Founder BIO
My name is Talia Senders and I live in New York. I have been working between the fields of psychology and finance for my entire career and treasure the opportunity to educate my clients about the basics of personal finance with a focus on habits, motivation and values.
After receiving a degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics and Psychology, I began my career on Wall Street. I shifted into the small business and nonprofit worlds, taking on the responsibility for the well-being of both a company’s finances and its people. Over time I became aware of a very common deficiency in the basic financial life-skills of so many of the organizations and teams I was responsible for.
I decided to make it my mission to solve this problem through education. I began teaching and enhancing an adult basic financial literacy program created at Columbia Business School. I later developed my own program for adults with additional versions geared towards middle school, high school, college students and small business owners. I founded The Financial Literacy Education Project, a 501c3 certified nonprofit dedicated to providing a basic unbiased financial education to all in 2015.
